Leadership

Iain and Rachel have been married since August 2004. Up until the summer of 2006 Iain was part of the team at St Saviours Christian Centre in Reading and Rachel worked with blind and partially sight children for the local authority.
Iain and Rachel were inducted to the church in September 2006 on the day that the church celebrated its 70th Anniversary. Iain said - ‘the church has such a fantastic history as you look back over the years, many wonderful men and women that have served faithful. But it was quite apt that on the 70th anniversary a new beginning and a new chapter begun. Both Rachel and I are excited to be here and know that the adventure that we have joined this church on is only going to get better and better’
Iain
Born: St Helens 1978
Favourite listening: U2, various Christian artist, anything up beat really and occasionally classic fm when I need to think some stuff over
Favourite read: leadership journal, anything by Eugene Peterson, Brian Mclaren (because he makes me think), leadership stuff, stuff on spirituality and discipleship
Favourite food: Has to be a good curry, closely followed by anything else that is offered!
Favourite TV: have to say I’m one of the sad ones that will watch Neighbours if I’m in the house! Love 24 with Kiefer Sutherland, Spooks and anything that is funny with in reason…
Likes: people in general, spending time with Rachel, family and friends, reading, football, chatting to people about Jesus, inspiring others to do all that they can do
Dislikes: self obsessed people who manipulate things when they don’t get there own way, and people that hold on to stuff that holds them back (only cause I know that it only does more damage to you than anybody else… LET IT GO)
Hope for the future: to see this church not only making a difference but being the difference in this town, to see each one of us making the most of the time we have and being fulfilled in all that we do, to see the church grow in vision, spirituality, faith, discipleship, love, commitment and people (because they have come to know Jesus). I guest that is in short my hope for the future.
Rachel
